Typically, your system begins with either Single Wall or Double Wall Black Stove Pipe from the stove or furnace.

Single Wall Stove Pipe allows more heat produced by the furnace to radiate into the home- increasing the heat output efficiency of the appliance. Single Wall Stove Pipe also requires more clearance (the space between walls, fixtures or furniture.) Double Wall Stove Pipe is used in those instances where your heating appliance is installed wiithin 18 inches of a wall or fixture.

As the venting system travels to the outside or to a second story of the home, you will transition to Chimney Pipe (Class A.). Use a ceiling support box, or single wall adapter to transition from your stove pipe to chimney pipe.
